A plain-English guide for a parent who has been added as an authorized user on the student's NYU account. You can see the amount and pay it yourself: about 15 minutes online plus one bank transfer.
Written by a first-year student for other families, from NYU's billing instructions (Sept 2026). NYU does not take credit cards directly; the bank-transfer route below is the normal one for UAE families. Not official NYU guidance: the eSuite screens are the authority.
Why it matters: once the billing deadline has passed, NYU blocks the student's course registration ("not financially eligible to register") until the balance is paid, and finance charges can be added. Payments take 2 to 5 working days to appear, so start early.

Step by step
1
Find your login emails
When the student added you, you received two emails from campuspayments@touchnet.com. The first has the link and your username (your email address). The second has a temporary password. Check Spam if you don't see them.
Can't find them? The student can resend the invitation in one minute: Albert → Finances → View Bursar Account → Authorized Users → resend.
2
Log in and set your own password
Open the link in the first email, enter your email and the temporary password, and choose a new password when asked. You are now in the NYU Bursar eSuite.
On screen: the student's name and a Student Account box showing Balance. Write that amount in the box above.
3
Click Make Payment
Choose the current term and the full balance. eSuite then shows the ways to pay. Ignore Electronic Check: that only works with a US bank account.
4
Choose International Payment (Flywire)
Flywire is NYU's partner for payments from outside the US. It opens in a new window with the amount already filled in. Choose United Arab Emirates as the country you are paying from.
Recommended · bank transfer in AED
Flywire shows you a bank account, an AED amount and a reference number. Make an ordinary transfer from your own banking app for exactly that amount, with the reference in the payment details. No card fee. Money reaches NYU in 2 to 5 working days.
Faster · card, if Flywire offers it
Some countries can pay by Visa or Mastercard inside Flywire. It posts sooner but Flywire adds a card fee of a few percent. Use it only if speed matters more than the fee.
Flywire asks for the payer (you: name, address, email, phone) and the student (name, N-number, NYU email). Anyone can be the payer; it does not have to be the student.
5
Make the bank transfer, then keep the receipt
Transfer exactly the AED amount Flywire shows and put the Flywire reference number in the transfer note. Flywire emails you when the money arrives and again when NYU has received it. Save those emails and your bank receipt.
6
Tell the student it's sent
They check Albert two working days later (Academics → Check Registration Status). When the block is gone, it's done.
If eSuite gives you trouble, the direct route works just as well: go to flywire.com/pay/nyu, type the USD amount, and continue from step 4. The payment still lands on the student's account because it is tagged with their N-number.
